The Best Immune Support Supplements

People often ask these days ‘What is the Caronavirus?’ But I think a far better question is ‘What are the best immune support supplements?’

Unless you have been living under a rock or living on Mars we all know the damaging effect the caronavirus is having all around the world. (although funnily enough it appears China is ok now and it hasn’t affected many third world countries. Hmmm)

Sorting the good from the bad reporting in the media it appears most people are pretty safe. The ones most at risk are the elderly with a pre existing health condition. If your immune system is compromised then be very careful.

What is the Immune System?

Your immune system is made up of particular organs, cells and chemicals that fight infection (microbes). The main elements of the immune system are: white blood cells, antibodies, the complement system, the lymphatic system, the spleen, the thymus, and the bone marrow. All these parts are the warriors that actively fight infection.

The immune system is like a computer, it keeps a record of every microbe it has defeated, in types of white blood cells (B- and T-lymphocytes) known as memory cells. What this actually means is it can recognise and destroy the microbe quickly if it enters the body again, before it can multiply and make you feel sick.

Some infections, like the flu and the common cold, have to be fought many times because so many different viruses or strains of the same type of virus can cause these illnesses. Catching a cold or flu from one virus does not give you immunity against the others. (1)

When you look at the immune systems of the very old and the very young they are weaker than most other people.

As you age, some of these cells also age and find it harder to respond to the infections.

Normally babies and very young children have a greater risk of infection because their immune system hasn’t matured as yet, however that does not appear to be the case with COVID-19.

What Can Put Your Immune Support System Under Stress?

So what issues make you immunocompromised?. People who have a disease or are taking any drugs that may suppress their immune system. For example those with autoimmune conditions such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, those undergoing chemotherapy and people who have had organ transplants.

If you are already fighting an infection, conditions such as heart disease, lung disease and diabetes may also put more load on your body’s ability to cope and function.

What Can Boost Your Immune System?

The best way to boost your immune system is to eat a predominantly plant based diet. Green leafy cruciferous vegetables are wonderful for boosting the immune system. Broccoli, kale and spinach are just 3 of the best foods to eat. Of course a plant based diet is also great for all parts of your body and helps you to heal and cleanse the body.

Exercise, meditation, fasting, fresh air and sunshine (Vitamin D) are other great ways to boost your overall health and immunity.

The Best Immune Support Supplements

I have come across what I believe are the best immune support supplements on the market, a product called Immune Support.

Deciding on the best immune support supplements wasn’t too hard I must say. Many immune support supplements contain lots of filler and rubbish that probably harms more than helps your immune system.

When researching immune support supplements one needs to look at the antioxidants and herbal extracts that are used.

A Broad Spectrum of Antioxidants

The antioxidants in Immune Support are supplied by many different ingredients. Starting with vitamins C & E, through green tea and pine bark, to grape seed extract and olive leaf – these natural sources of beneficial antioxidants help fight free-radicals and oxidation.

Herbal Extracts to Support the Immune System

With traditional ingredients such as Graviola leaf (Annona muricata) and green tea, and modern advancements in natural science such as beta-glucans and d-Alpha tocopherol succinate (vitamin E), you get the best of the old and the new.

Graviola also known as soursop.

Not only does Graviola contain heaps of vitamins and minerals, but the stem, bark and leaves are rich in antioxidants, which help the body fight against free radical damage to cells. Research also shows it may help kill and prevent cancer cells.

In addition to cancer chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic effects, graviola extracts and their constituents, individually or in combination, have shown therapeutic properties for other ailments that afflict humankind including chronic inflammatory and oxidative diseases, wounds, and noninfectious and infectious microbial and parasitic diseases. Graviola organs have been used as herbal medications against cystitis, diabetes, headaches, hypertension, insomnia, and liver diseases as well as antidysenteric, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic agents. In a nutshell Graviola is a real superfood and has a wonderful and healing effect on the immune system.

Mushroom and Herbal Complexes

Shiitake, Maitake and Reishi mushrooms have been associated with good immune system health. The ‘Herbal Complex’ in Immune Support has a formula derived from a traditional first-nation’s formulation from Canada. The combination of burdock, sheep sorrel, slippery elm and rhubarb has long been used in support of the Immune System, but science has not confirmed the efficacy of the blend, although some of the ingredients have been shown to have antioxidant potential.

Multiple Beneficial Ingredients

The immune system is constantly fighting a huge range of pathogens and diseases, all with different kinds of strengths and weaknesses. It makes sense that a wide and varied range of supplemental ingredients would be beneficial to the nourishment of the immune system.

Main Benefits

  • Increasing your immune system response.
  • Staving off infections.
  • Making your body stronger against bacteria and fighting infections.

In summary the ingredients in Immune Support are the best I have seen for helping get your immune system back to great health. Graviloa alone is something that puts Immune Support right up there with the best immune support supplements.

In the times we are currently living in having a compromised immune system is very much a risk factor with the caronavirus. As mentioned previously don’t ask ‘what is the coronavirus?’ ask what are the best immune support supplements?

  1. Hey Kev, I appreciate you sharing this with me. Now we must be super careful a keeping our immune systems strong to battle the corona. I’ve always been a fan of mushrooms, especially Shitake but wasn’t aware of their heath benefits. Take care and stay indoors unless you absolutely must go out

    • Hi Josh,

  2. Great article. Very timely content. I believe that we should turn back to the nature and see what we missed. We should get closer to nature and consider supplement with natural extracts rather that consuming 100% artificial stuff

    • Hi Rajith,

Agree totally. Along with a plant based diet, meditation and exercise you can pretty much heal anything including your immune system. Cheers,

  3. Great information! Having a healthy immune system is always important, but now more so than ever. Have you found that these supplements can reduce the negative effects of stress on the immune system? As this is a very stressful time for many, just wondering if this could be used to balance the negative effects of stress and still help boost the immune system.

    • Hi Chris,
Thanks so much for your comments. Appreciated. As for stress I meditate twice a day and exercise most days. Even in the current environment. So as for the supplements its a bit hard for me to tell as I am not a very highly stressed person. If I was a doctor (and I’m not haha) I would recommend the supplements along with a good plant based diet, meditation and exercise.
I hope that answers your questions, Cheers mate,
